Reservations

Early reservations are recommended, since group sizes are limited and trips are likely to fill up quickly.  For immediate confirmation on a trip, an initial payment of 25% of the quoted rate can be made by direct deposit or internet transfer to our bank account. Please email us for our banking details. Each participant must submit a signed application prior to departure.  

Upon receiving your deposit we will send you a confirmation letter, detailed trip itinerary and pre-departure information with clothing and equipment list, along with general information needed to prepare for your trip.  Rendezvous instructions and final trip details will be sent to you 30 days prior to departure.


Payment Schedule

At time of reservation: 25% deposit of the quoted rate
60 days prior to departure: Balance due

Prices are quoted in US dollars (except for the Whale Trail) and all payments must be made in US dollars, whether by check or direct deposit.   


Pricing

In order to offer the lowest price, all our trips are priced according to the number of participants at full occupancy.  However, we have included two tier prices for most trips, which allows a trip to still run with as few as four participants.


Single Supplement

Accommodation is based on double occupancy. A single supplement is paid by participants who specifically request single accommodations, subject to availability.  If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodation, we will try to match you with a roommate. However if a roommate is not available, the full single supplement rate will be charged.


Cancellation Fees

Cancellations are subject to the following fees:

90-45 days before departure: 25% cancellation fee
45-31 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee
30-0 days before departure: 100% cancellation fee

Once you have confirmed a booking, we highly recommend that you purchase travel and trip cancellation insurance.


Cancelled Trips

Return To Africa reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient sign-up or logistical problems that may impede trip operations.  The refund of all land payments received (subject to a 2% handling fee) shall release Return To Africa from any further liability.  A trip with insufficient group size will normally be cancelled a minimum of one month before departure.

 
All the above information pertains to pre-arranged trips and privately booked safaris.
