Your Guide

Freya Reder, born and raised in Southern California, delights in sharing the many natural wonders of Africa. Fulfilling a childhood dream, Freya has lived and worked as an accomplished professional safari guide in South Luangwa National Park for over 10 years.

Having studied Anthropology with a background in Horticulture, she became one of Zambia's first women to qualify as a walking guide. Fascinated by all aspects of wildlife and nature, Freya brings enthusiasm and exceptional knowledge to the wilderness experience.  Come and join her on an unforgettable safari experience as she shares her passion and knowledge!   Freya lives in the remote Luangwa Valley where she has a small farm.  When she is not on the game trails of South Luangwa or the hiking trails of South Africa, she spends her spare time working with the local farmers in developing organic means of growing fruit and vegetables to sell to the areas lodges and camps.
