Awaken to the sound of a lion's distant roar... the fresh, sweet morning scent of the African bush greeting you as you step out onto the trail. Experience the essence of Africa on foot in one of the continent's most pristine wilderness areas, South Luangwa National Park (SLNP).

This 11 day trip offers the best of both worlds in game viewing with a combination of night drives and walking safaris.  Situated in the heart of SLNP, your first nights will be spent at Mfuwe Lodge.  Here you will get close to the animals in our open vehicles, familiarize yourself with the habitat and the wildlife, as well as get many of your close-up photographs of the animals and bird life.  

Next we will travel south along the river to our luxury, exclusive bush camps where your education of the bush will continue on foot.  The next 7 nights will be spent in comfort as we explore the habitat and ecological wonders of the area. When transferring, we will walk from one camp to the next while your bags are driven ahead by vehicle.  The last day we will travel back to Mfuwe Lodge where we will spend our final evening dining under the stars amidst the sounds of the African night.
